A bit about me

I'm from Hong Kong, now studying Engineering at Cambridge. I have a strong maths background — A* Further Maths and HKDSE M2 5** — and I'm building the CS fundamentals to match it. My goal is to land strong internships at top-tier SWE and quant firms across my four years, starting summer 2027. I'm most drawn to problems that sit at the edge of maths and systems — algorithms, market microstructure, and anything that rewards clear thinking under constraints.

Hobbies

Competitive Programming

Codeforces regular. Working towards 1400+ rating before summer 2026 applications.

📐

Mathematics

Olympiad puzzles and problem sets. A* Further Maths, HKDSE M2 5**.

🎹

Piano

Playing since age 8. Mostly classical — Bach and Chopin.

🏃

Running

Weekly runs along the Cam. Good for thinking through hard problems.

📈

Quantitative Finance

Following prop trading and market microstructure. Target: Five Rings.

🎮

Game AI

Currently building a Battlecode 2026 bot — £15k prize pool, finals May 6.

Reading list

Textbook

Introduction to Algorithms (CLRS)

Cormen, Leiserson, Rivest, Stein — the algorithms bible.

Non-fiction

Thinking, Fast and Slow

Daniel Kahneman — decision-making and cognitive bias.

Technical

The Pragmatic Programmer

Hunt & Thomas — practical software craftsmanship.

Non-fiction

Flash Boys
